When wine is $10 or below, you usually don’t expect much, but the colorful label of this Spanish Garnacha wine tempted me to buy it. I had a party coming up and I just bought one bottle. After drinking it, I’d wished I had bought more, because this wine is hard to find.
The Monte Oton vineyard is situated high on the windswept slopes of an extinct volcano, the “Moncayo”, with complex chalky soils.
Great value Grenache wine. Dark red in color full-bodied wine with ripe berry and plum fruit, medium tannins and long finish.
