Pinot Noir wines from Oregon almost always offer something unique and Jigsaw Pinot Noir (2012) from Ransom Wine Co. is no exception.
On the nose, this Pinot Noir resembles fields of roses and the very first sips make you think you’re drinking Champagne. Nevertheless, this is a Pinot Noir, with bright acidity supporting a fine balance of fresh cherry and strawberry fruit intermingled with hints of spice, earthiness and currant. Balanced tannins result in a smooth drinking wine, which for this price is an excellent value.
