Chateau Panchille Bordeaux 2009 is a great value wine, with a nice layered character of fresh berry fruits combined with a nice nose of chocolate and vanilla. Nicely balanced, dry Bordeaux blend with long finish that will go very well with a nice piece of French cheese or chocolate in front of the fireplace or out in the yard during summertime.
The wine is a blend of Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc (20%), derived from 30-years old vines and aged in stainless steel vats for 18 months.
The vineyard Château Panchille is a small estate consisting of diverse “terroirs“. Wine maker Pascal Sirat has made this choice to obtain a larger palette of aromas and structure. This allows him, at blending time, to obtain a wider range of complexity in his wines. More information about the vineyard’s wine cultivation can be found here.
