This is a yummy wine from Columbia Valley in Washington state. Washington state has become a fairly popular wine region lately. Columbia Valley lies in the South-Western part of Washington state and produces a large range of grape varieties.
The 2009 Murray Cuvee is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), Merlot (47%), Cabernet Franc (16%), Malbec (7%) and Petit Verdot (10%).
The color is purple red with a nice bouquet of cherry. The wine is medium body with a smooth and velvety mouth feel, bursting with nicely layered berry fruit (late harvest almost). Nice level of acidity and this is an easy to drink red blend that can be enjoyed by itself or with food. This wine received 89 points from Wine Spectator.
