Ananto (Valencia) 2009 is a 60/40 blend of Bobal and Syrah grapes.
The Bobal grape is native to the Utiel-Requena region in Valencia. The name is derived from the Latin word bovale, which refers to the shape of a bull’s head. The grape is resistant to extreme weather and diseases and gives wines acidity and fragrance.
This red blend has a pleasant dark fruit fragrance and is acidic with lots of raspberry and cherry flavor. It has medium tannins and the wine goes well with hors d’oeuvres and tapas.
Produced by Bodega Sierra Notre, bottled by R.E.N., Utiel-Requena, Valencia, Spain.
